Chizhou is a riverside city with superior location. It is an important node city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, one of the 27 cities in the Central Area of the Yangtze River Delta City Cluster, an important member of the Wanjiang Urban Belt’s Industrial Transfer Demonstration Zone, and a core city of the Southern Anhui International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone, with 162 kilometers of the Yangtze River coastline. Beijing-Taiwan Expressway, Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, Jinan-Guangzhou Expressway, Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway, Anqing-Dongzhi Expressway, Dongzhi-Jiujiang Expressway, Nanjing-Anqing High-Speed Railway, and Tongling-Jiujiang Railway pass through the city; Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway is speeding up construction; Jiuhuashan Airport has opened 11 domestic key city routes; Chizhou port is a large port witha handling capacity of over a million tons. The city has fully integrated into the Yangtze River Delta 3-hour Metropolitan Area, Nanjing and Hefei 1.5-hour Commuter Circle.
